The Perfect Homeschooling Study
Homeschooling for young adults can be difficult, especially if your home is tight for space. But, with innovative design, even the smaller bedrooms may have enough room for a bespoke desk solution to suit the dedicated learner, giving them their own private space to study.
This is exactly what our Design Director, Jeff, did for a teenager's bedroom in Dulwich Village. Jeff designed a perfect learning and storage space in the bedroom in discussion with the client and child. The design incorporated an American Black Walnut desk to the centre of the room directly below the skylight with ample bookshelf storage to either side of the desk and the sidewalls for study books and materials. We also manufactured a storage cupboard with open shelving shaped to fit perfectly under the room's eaves with American Black Walnut interiors and shelving. The doors to the cupboard were made in a Shaker style and painted in Dulux Trade White Eggshell to give the room a lighter feel. Now there is a lovely, quiet space for studying with enough shelving and storage to meet the client and child's needs.
