A Traditional Study

image0.jpeg

This beautiful, timeless yew wood study was designed and manufactured for an American family living in Holland Park, London. This room was going to be primarily the husband's room, and he told me on the first design meeting he'd 'love to have the feel and warmth of a London's Gentleman's Club' where he could sit with his brother with a brandy in hand and putting the world to rights. He was also a huge boxing fan and had an extensive collection of books on the topic alongside a wide range of subjects that needed showcasing and housing safely.

We built a large corner breakfront bookcase in a traditional design on two walls of the chosen room. With the remaining walls, we made full height wall panelling to match.

The highest quality Solid Cherry and Pippy Yew Wood was used to manufacture this beautiful study polished in an antique Patina.

It’s all in the details - raised and fielded panelled doors with fluted columns, adjustable shelving and drawers. Using Solid Brass antique swan neck handles to finish.
